To meet that special someone? I know its not the bar. Thats the worst place to meet someone.

This is sort of an opinion message on where people think is the best place to meet that special someone.

lolz true that but if i had to pick a place i would have to say at a place where you are doing something you enjoy cuz then you know you have something in common other than that im partial to the supermarket

Where you are having fun and enjoying yourself...so if it is the beach, movies, concert, etc., just introduce yourself and talk about that commonality you are both sharing right then!!!!

They say you find them when you are not looking. hmmmm
I know several people that have found each other on personal ads in newspapers, prior to the internet, and several that have found each other through the internet. Some find theirs while at work, with coworkers or contacts through their work. Friends are usually good at playing matchmaker too. Sometimes all it takes is letting them know you would be interested in meeting someone and their "matchmaking" skills go into high gear. lol. The people that have met at the bars usually find people but it doesn't seem to be long term relationships. I know several that have found each other in church, but it was at church events that was where several churches went and they met people of the same religion but at a church they didn't regularly attend. A lot of churches have "singles" groups.
..and I want to know the "supermarket" idea....has anyone ever heard of that really working?!?! I haven't.

At a strip club

Playing a sport you like. It has worked for me. I play co ed softball and I have met some nice guys and made some great friends. No keepers yet.
