I've been an M2 member for over a year. In my profile I clearly make it clear I am a blind person. Women ccontact me and we get chatting. I explain I am a blind guy, then they stop chatting. A few times, I have not mentioned it and message longer, till I tell them I am a blind guy. Once again they stop chatting. Of the hundreds of women who have contacted me I have two friends on here. I would never on purpose hide the fact I have a sight problem or any disability. That would be very wrong. Are people looking for perfection on dating sites like this one? When no one is or ever will be perfect? Or is it simply that disability scares people? I would love to know just how people really feel? I am an optimist and keep my hope alive but it is getting close to giving up and facing reality.

I'd say people are intimidated by the unknown.

Also I would say don't give up on something you really want... I would just keep putting myself out there and see where it leads.

why a disability
such as blindness
would get in the way

a dialyis patient
and many dont know
or want to deal with someone
with my health issue
that there loss

I think it's great that you state you blindness in your profile
you must know by now that many do not bother to read profiles.

Oh I think it is the misconception that your blindness makes you dependent and that you may be looking for someone to take care of you

Hi, I personally wouldn't be turned off by a lot of disabilities..
As someone mentions some people fear the unknown and frankly in my opinion it is their loss.

As someone else states... so many don't take the time to read profiles which is sad.

I would say never ever give up on anything. Come out to the forums and join in the very least you will find is friendships the most you could find is someone to accept and love you as a life partner.

I like your attitude....Don't let your disability put you down and make your life miserable...Do what you wanted to do and never stop learning and knowing new things and new people as well...Those who go away and leave you, let them be, it is not your loss, cherish the ones you have and those who stay beside you no matter what...Be happy always and wear your beautiful smile everyday upon waking up...Life Is Beautiful my friend!!!...So Make the Most of it Cowboy flowerforyou happy
