1. There's no such thing as "acceptable racism;"

2. The term "white trash" is an insult, not a scientific or factual label. Therefore there's no point in going to the link to see what it says, because no matter what it says, it will just be the prejudiced opinion of whoever made it up.

u r right. It is an insult. The headline is actually deceiving. Yet the headline is also apparently acceptable in todays world to use. I wonder what other group of people you could insult in this manner as a journalist with the nypost and still keep your job?

The article actually is telling us why biting the hand that feeds you will eventually come back to haunt you. ( a scientific reasoning:wink:) I am not a scientist though.

I don't live in New York, but what familiarity I do have with the New York Post gives me to believe that such disparaging headlines are common.

Actually, most New Yorkers are well aware of the Posts reputation. It's like a local version of the National Enquirer for them: amusing nonsense.

I am a New Yorker, born and raised and everyone there reads at least the headline of the Post most everyday.

The Post and The Daily News have a rivalry that dates back to the industrial revolution.

The Post does run on sensationalism, no doubt. The do have a tendency to " just run" with the story and try to grab the headline from the Daily News. This a daily battle. And they do have a tendency to call it the way they see it. And many times that cracks people up and at the same time pisses off a lot too.

Sometimes they hit it right on the head, sometimes not. But they are rarely boring.. front page anyway.

You have to give them some credit, they are still around when many others have folded. And N.Y. politicians still want their endorsement
