I am afraid


I know to keep trying in order to see
but I am afraid in protection of me
I keep attempting the contact
but then feel a hesitation to act

Confusing for me and for you
I need time to work through
the conflict of emotions I feel
so many, it makes me reel

Your frustrated, this I see
this makes me want to let you be
to hurt others is not the intent
excuses I am tempted to invent

I think maybe someone new
will be better for you
someone who will not wonder
without the confusing ponder

In order for you to be free
to find someone more together than me
I say goodbye and be happy
with someone other than me

I am sure I passed on a good thing
but due to my unsure constant ring
the hard decision I have made
due to the fact that I am afraid

Of course I enjoyed, as us-ual. Part of me feels the need to give a snuggling type hug and say, "awwww, it'll be O-Tayyyy". Another aspect want's to lecture the bejeesus outta someone who doesn't see what the patience of giving space to another can yield. And this comes from a very impatient person, although I've found some of my happiest moments have come from NOT invading peoples parameters and letting them show me who they are in their own time and in the end our relationships evolve to our being parts of each other's comfort zones.

Thanks different I have found alot of men are not patient enough to wait me out, so I am letting them go. It is frustrating for me too.

Maybe that's your own personal subconscious meter of worthiness. How does that cliche go, something about if it was easy would it be worth it or something about the hardest things in life. Maybe that just is a different way for you to gauge who is truly trust worthy for you ------ not a bad thing
