Topic: Photo Plagiarizing | |
---|---|
I wanted to ask what others thought about people using only "stars" pictures for their profile. No personal pics whatsoever. My opinon is that this site is about sharing your profile.... Not someone elses.
Is it that they identify with the "Stars" persona? For instance the use of Sophia Loren pictures only. I recently got into a back and forth post about this with someone who did this and wanted others opinions. Photo Plagiarizing or Show your own Persona? John |

As long as someone has pics of themselves on their profile I dont think its photo plagarism......

Why do people do that. When I look at a profile I'd like to see what the other person looks like. not a celeb unless its the celeb who using sa fake name.

I'm with gypsy on this one as long as they have photos on the profile no biggie. It gets boring to me to keep the same pic up all the time so I switch up. I do not take personal photos that often so I use pics I like or find interesting. JMO

I agree with showing other "things".... comic or cutsy like cats dogs, etc are fun but actually using a famous real photo like Marilyn, Sofia, Brad Pitt...no

Yes,FreshMountainAir, we've seen the post you mentioned...
And, yes, it's a bit...pointed. BUT,that doesn't invalidate his main point. I agree that it's silly(at best) to post a cleb. picture, claiming it reflects your "mood" somehow. I 'aint the prettiest face around...But I DO use my own picture on my profile. It's a personal choice, sure, but if you want to connect with a potential partner, go the extra mile, and show your face. Please. |

I think we need a new photo rule at JSH:
You can post all the pictures you like--as long as AT LEAST ONE of your pics is a picture of yourself. Doesn't have to be the main pic. But one has to be of you. |

FreshMt.Air - Is there an issue with my starting a thread to learn of others opinions on one of the issues I have about profiles on the site?
This thread is not related the earlier post but my observations of the site. I did not bring up any names or relations to any prior posts. Please explain why you did and what importance you believe would come from it? Thank you in advance for your response, John |

i am not using star pictures
and for most i do not have a personal photo of me on my profile it is set to private if i talk to someone and they ask i will let them see it but as for public na why if they like ya they like ya why prejudice their perception with my great handsomeness if they like my personality then they may be able to see the pic but what dif does it make if yer not in a in real life relationship with them just a thought but hey what do i know |
