Topic: Beautiful song about lonely men | |

Hello to all,
my favourite song is "Lonely men" performed by the Pooh, an italian very famous rock band. That song gives a very incisive message of encouragement to all the men who are single. First, it says that there are many and many men in the same condition, and that can be single for a large variety of reasons, because they seek working success, because they had bad experiences, because their mothers didn't let them free, and so on. Then it encourages them to try again, to try "to change this life before it changes us", "to learn about the women" and possibly "to change a bit for them". I think the Pooh are very good psychologists :-) And that song has beautiful music, also. Here's a video of the song's first performance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmbRNPDENiQ This song is in Italian and the vast majority of you don't know that language, at most Spanish, French and Portuguese speakers can understand something. However, I'm reporting the full English translation, so that you can understand its profound meaning. --------------------- You meet them where people travel and go to phone With the aftershave that tastes of rain and the 24-hours suitcase Lost in the evening newspapers or in the coming and going of a waitress But why every day, evening comes? Sometimes a man is lonely because he has strange torments in his mind because he's afraid of sex or he's craving for success to write the romance he has inside because life has already put him to the wall or because in a false world, he's a real man God of the cities, and of immensity If it's true that you're there, and you've travelled more than us Let's see if we can learn this life or maybe change it a little, before it changes us Let's see if we can make ourselves be loved as we are without tormenting ourselves with neurosis and jealousies anymore because this life knocks down, and who's knocked down sleeps or dies, or makes love There are men who are lonely for the thirst of adventure because they studied to be priests or because of twenty years in prison because of mothers who have never weaned them because of women who have refused and lost them or just because they're different God of the cities, and of immensity If it's true that you're there, and you've travelled more than us Let's see if we can learn these women and maybe change a bit for them maybe change them a bit for us But God of the cities, and of immensity We see that you're there, and that you don't have any problems But down here we aren't in the sky and if a man loses the thread he's just a lonely man. |

Ciao Giulio! Great insight and music. I hope God answers the prayer of men. However, He may have already answered. In most cases all you need is to take the step! Keep well. |

But this being a PG-13 site and you being young and all, I have to refrain....solitary man... Just so you don't get off topic?!?!? |

Deep song, Solitary Man. It resonates with the OP. They both answer many questions in my mind about men.... Don't know that I will But until I can find me The girl who'll stay And won't play games behind me I'll be what I am A solitary man, solitary man (instrumental) Don't know that I will But until I can find me The girl who'll stay And won't play games behind me I'll be what I am A solitary man Solitary man |
