Pastor Roger Jimenez from Verity Baptist Church in Sacramento told his congregation that Christians “shouldn’t be mourning the death of 50 sodomites.”
“People say, like: Well, aren’t you sad that 50 sodomites died?” Jimenez said, referencing the initial death toll in Orlando, which authorities later clarified included 49 victims plus the gunman. “Here’s the problem with that. It’s like the equivalent of asking me — what if you asked me: Hey, are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today?’ “Um, no, I think that’s great. I think that helps society. You know, I think Orlando, Fla., is a little safer tonight.” .....I think there is a sickness in individuals who can feel this way about human life,,,,to feel killing is 'great',,,,and to pass that along to a congregation at the pulpit,,,, such a shame,, what is happening to people? |

If you call yourself a Christian, you love all people regardless of their beliefs or assumed sins... You can vehemently hate the sins, but you must love the sinner...
All life is precious, not just those lives that believe the same as you... |

Christians are called to follow Christ's example.
If Jesus felt the way this 'pastor' did, then he would have allowed the society of his day to stone Mary...... Therefore this pastor is NOT following Christ's example. |

People use words in different ways twist their logic on others, all I know is 50 innocent people where slaughtered by some nut job and as a christian I mourn their deaths and the pain it caused to all their families who loved them very much. The Jesus I pray to is all about love, not gunning people down whose lifestyle you do not approve of.

in fact jesus said 'he who is without sin, cast the first stone'
jesus was able to teach us to turn from sin, without taking part in the fatal 'judgment' of sinners |

in fact jesus said 'he who is without sin, cast the first stone' jesus was able to teach us to turn from sin, without taking part in the fatal 'judgment' of sinners Amen, we are all "equal" we are all worth life, we are all a creation of God. It's unfortunate that these people weren't living necessarily "right" in God's eyes. But still there was a "chance" for them until they inevitably died. God loved us even when we were sinners, same as for these people in question. God didn't tell us too pray for the poor "Christians" or the sick "Christians"... no he said pray for sick "people" the this or that "people".... again not just specifically the "Christians". |

Jesus said, people will know you are my disciples when you love one another. Hate the sin but love the sinner. Not easy, though depending on the circumstances. This is where we need the grace of God.
I don't want to dwell on the person of the pastor. We all get in this sin by simply wishing others bad when we get upset, hurt, disappointed, cheated on etc. What I would say life is very precious, no matter what. Remember, God hates the death of a sinner. |
