“In this Life”



If in life we knew.
All the things we would go through.
Would we try to change our ways.
Or is it that life is actually a maze.
And actually things will happen regardless.
As long as we go forward and progress.
It turns out in the end we live and we die.
It will not matter what happens in the middle so why try.
Why must at times we have the need to impress?
Why not just be ones self and express.
The way you really feel.
Just be yourself and be real.
Would that not be the best?
Instead of acting as if life is a big contest.
Instead some try to get ahead of the game.
Is it a goal that all must remember there name.
In history they must see it wrote within the books.
So in the future others will see how it looks.
Just because your name is not wrote in stone.
Does not mean you were not known.
Maybe you were always kind to all and gave a smile.
Either way your life was still worthwhile.
It does not matter what step of the ladder your own.
No one leaves this earth unknown.
Along the line someone knew your name.
And on this earth you proclaim.
That until we die.
Its then we will say good-bye.
