Do you have a Murtaugh list? I feel I am having one from this weekend.
Now for those people who don't know Murtaugh list, it is related to a great hit movie "lethal weapon" in which Roger Murtaugh keep saying that "I am too old for this stuff".

So if you guys ever feel that "You are too old for this stuff", this stuff goes to your Murtaugh list.

So do you have one yet?

Any morning I wake up from the night before that included one too ...well, two too many toddies

Oh heck yeah. I think most of us probably have several stages of "Murtaugh lists."

In this dating area, a lot of us were willing to put up with all kinds of nonsense when we were young, and thought we had to, in order to be liked. Bit by bit, we either get riled up enough to give up on being liked, or we decide that some kinds of cooperation are based on not having the rights of an adult.

The later adult stages are what you're talking about here. And I think probably all of us could point to a series of things we gradually decided one of two things. Either because we see through it, and realize it's not really necessary, or because we learned that the "juice isn't worth the squeeze."

I am way too old for putting up with people who handle disagreements like children, or for investing energy where it is not reciprocated.

Normally when I say I'm to old for this it all depends on what it is if I put it on the Do Not Do List~~~

If it is something like water parks,parasailing, lot's of walking ect that take a lot of energy you will hear me say I'm to old for this while I'm doing it.... But in no way do I put it on a do not do list. I do it complain about all the walking while I have a cold drink in my hand helping me through it...

If it deals with drama then it goes on the list I'm too old to deal with that crap and will eliminate it or them from my life~~~~

The older I get there is a lot of things I no longer can do without the body telling me I'm not as young as I use to be and pay for it later~~ But it will not keep me from doing it again

Wow thanks TxsGal, I forgot to mention that this list is called Murtangh list because inspite of saying that "I am too old to do this stuff", we end up doing it.

Like I always say "I am too old to go to clubs and dance till 4 am" but usually I end up doing that almost every weekend. Need to work on my "Never to do list"

Even at my age I still go to the clubs with friends and we party till 4-5am. Just now it takes me a full day to recoup. Therefore I do less of it but still party from time to time...

Haha good to know that I am not alone there. Keep partying and have fun till 4 am atleast

or maybe it's because I live in a college town

but I don't like the over crowded loud bars or restaurants

Well I am vomit free since 2002 so working on not to break the record. I have been zombie drunk 50 times atleast. I think adding zombie drinking should be added to murtaugh list
