      Anyone else trying out Opera?

I've been using Opera for awhile. I like it - fast and gets the job done and relatively few security risks.

Even has integrated torrent downloads... The only reason I still use Firefox is the Adblock addon. |

Oh, and from time to time there are some issues with web pages displaying correctly - but that is due to web designers catering to IE and not the standard for html/css/etc... But that's another reason I don't like IE and support the other browsers.

I just started using it earlier today. Seems solid so far. Give a better review after a month of use or so.

I've used opera in several handheld devices - these were custom versions of the app. Was not the best experience due to compromises made to accomodate the low powered device, but I'm not entirely happy with the mis-named Blazer either.

Well, I found my first major dislike, and first major liking to Opera yesterday.

(-) You cannot watch full screen flash video without Opera crashing, or scroll through the streamed video without it hanging. (+) You can use speed dial, CTRL+1-9 to quickly access your preset favorites. |
