Bottom line ...Never give out email address, phone number, including Skype ID, and any other personal details....till you have actually MET the user in person, and yes, gotta look like their picture absolutely....and yes, if you actually LIKE the said person.....this is very important.... Use the site messaging system it is way safer and secure....Scammers are looking for your email add, phone number....and money (thats their bonus)....they already made money if they got the other two from you with no problem...just saying.. I personally wouldnt even go through the trouble ofmeeting someone in person unless we video chatted a few times AFTER exchanging several emails back and forth. I think the trauma expressed on these threads about people looking disappointingly different from their pics is because people embark upon live dates before video chatting. Why do people keep putting themselves through that unnevessary trauma. Havent they suffered enough???

Funny enough, not a lot of people in my city use or have Skype. This has got to be a age thingy. People living faraway and in exotic lands all have Skype...the only people I have talked to that dont have Skype are the scammers. And I for one, chat on the phone and then meet locally.....so I am never disappointed if they dont look like their picture, because I know in 5 mts..I will be home....and re-boot search...

1 of my friends looked really different from the photos on mingle
for me it didnt matter because we were just friends and still are but for someone else the photos vs real him.. could make a big shock.. so better have a skype cam chat before meeting .. my personal opinion.. the other friends were exactly the same as the photos, 1 of them ehem ehemmm was extremely handsome. even more handsome than the photos. so i stopped my connection with him for my own piece of mind and heart health lol |

Just general messaging is fine, it's only a liye extension of the threads.. But I try to avoid any skype or video chat or anything along those lines.. that can definitely lead to complications.. 
What complications can it lead to I have used video chat before x Video chatting would be exciting and fun.. I don't know what I was thinking

Thanks private emails are more easier assessable if you are going to chat more frequent X Your right about that ! Makes you more assessable . I'm an old school guy but I still know how to track an e-mail header . You want to chat..ok ..np . Keep Your guard up . Assessable you said??? Hmmmm.....I better write down all my investments so it will always be ready when asked.....Lolzzzzz.....

I don't know what is the big deal with skyping, at least you get to see a live image of the person only proves he or she is real. I love Skyping compared to other forms of communication or tango, a live chat is far way better to get to know somebody. Do I get excited??? Naaaaa, I don't think so not unless the person is naked
