For me football. Soccer I just don't get the excitment. I know it is a really popular sport and we are one of the few contries that doesn't "get the excitment" of it. I would rather watch a bunch of guys hitting and tackling each other then a bunch of short guys run around and only score 1 or two goals a game.

well i prefer to watch football (the barbarian in me i guess)
but football is more about brute force and skill soccer is about skill and speed but hey what do i know |

Yawn.
Watching 300 lbs guys play for 4 seconds, then take a break, watch a 5 minute commercial, then watch the (now rested) 300 lbs guys play for 3 seconds, huddle, pant, wheeze, rest up, to give it another go... American football is about 1 thing - the commercials

The thing about American football and virtually every mainstream American sport is the disinterested "fans", just sitting there munching on peanuts, drinking their beers. It's even worse in baseball.

American football. There is just more drama. I also find it more entertaining. I don't really see the fun in watching a ball just get kicked back and forth.
