The moment is upon us
as Man in the mirror
meets shadow of destiny

Light shines throughout
the crowd roars thunderously
darkly glowing drips of rain spatter the pavement

Footsteps abound like lady luck in high fashion
thrusting the body to its lifeless state
as onlookers cry in jubilation

Whispers barely intelligible spread throughout
the misty air of foul midnight breaths
carniverous and vulture like in the half moon sky

Suddenly......

The wetness of a gentle kiss
Soft yet subtle
The eyes of desperation pry open

The heart beats faintly
Arms and legs conducting an orchestral production
Liquid sky washing the blood soaked stains away

A loving hug
Embracing the battered soul
Nurturing the wounds of darkness

Hand holds hand
Eyes gaze intently
Minds collide in unison ......

The morning breeze cascades peacefully
across the radiantly glowing orange landscape
as the dawn of a new day flourishes with fervor

He takes in the sweet scent
the pure untainted breath of freshness
in all its morning glory

A new day is upon us
as man in the mirror
meets shadow of destiny...yet again.
