it's getting dim, because the lights are on, but nobody is home. sex got into the deal, because we decided that a reason for dating is sex. not the only reason, but a reason.
then, the old people decided they had to sleep, so some new people took over with their opinion. ones that want to stay up. then, someone said they needed a tuneup, and it was getting dim, because they had dents in their car? well maybe because they needed new tires. from there i got lost. |

Hmm, maybe it's cause I'm old but I in no way classify dating and sex together. Granted sex comes in time but that is so not the ultimate goal (obviously only in my mind) to dating.
Maybe I'm just out of the dating loop and some evil human didn't send me the memo. |

Hmmm, that's funny. I got the memo yesterday...Are you sure they have the right address?

to me the whole point of dating is to find if your initial attraction to each other can grow into something like, um, I dunno, love?
too true though, today version of dating is warped. somepeople say its "just for fun" (mostly women) but I believe they only say this line for various reasons which totally depend on her personality, standards, values etc etc it could mean that she IS infact looking for a real relationship but doesnt want to state it aloud because she feels it might scare guys away... so this allows more fish in the pool where she may hook a one that isnt at FIRST interested in longterm but then changes his mind with her. It could also mean that she just wants a loose relationship with sex. It could mean that she's reluctant to go far with anyguy because she's been hurt and wants to be careful. but to me, I date because at first Im attracted, so I wanna know if she is worth spending time with as a friend, find the/any common interests, beliefs, matching personalitys etc etc and depending on what matches what will depend on how much time I will wanna spend. I def. dont think MARRIAGE when I approach a woman. Attraction is sparked, I approach, Im thinking 'potential fun'. if the fun is there, Im thinking 'potential love' if the love is there; just spend time together to see if it MAY work longterm. |

sorry about the double post again, grrr, I'm not meaning to do it, and I know that I didn't double click that time.
I personally could not be with someone for the rest of my life if there was not a sexual connection. Thats what I have great friends for, I'm looking for a relationship, and that includes being intimate with someone! JMO |

well everyone has their opinion, but in the end, well think what you will. only god knows the answer to this one.

I dont associate dating with sex either.
I associate se with marriage. I associate dating with potential fun. after all it is a fun process to find if your date is special or not! as long as they dont turn out pyscho! |

|
The point of dating is to learn about yourself and about the other person. It's all a process that leads to more self-awareness. If the chemistry and dynamics are right, marriage, sex, whatever else will just fall into place. |

I've had my fair share of psychos!!! Ready and waiting for a normal person to come my way!

lol god has nothing to do with this sheesh. It's dating, it's called meeting someone that you get along with. Someone that you enjoy being around in good times and bad times. It has nothing to do with sex until you make that move to a relationship. Oh yeah, I forgot, people don't wait anymore.
Nevermind. |
