Hillary Clinton charged a kids' charity $200,000 to speak — and she pocketed every dime.
Clinton reportedly charged the Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach $200,000 for a speech earlier this year, according to new speaking disclosures made available on the Clinton Foundation website. Clinton spoke at a Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach fundraiser in California on March 3, reportedly speaking to 300 Long Beach "movers and shakers" at an event that was closed to the press. The event was marked by Secret Service security and bomb-sniffing dogs outside before Clinton got there. The Boys and Girls Club of Long Beach's programs promote character, education, health, and sports and art involvement for children. I notice no one is mentioning how much those "movers and shakers" donated because they came to see Hillary wind bag on stage. I wouldn't begrudge her for keeping what she feels she earned by doing her "speaker" job. That charity paid her for her services. I doubt she had any kind of contract that said she'd give the money back. Hillary uses her charitable giving to finance her own charity to avoid taxes, most likely. No different than most other rich people and celebrities that start charities. That's always a bigger story than "a business willingly paid Hillary money as an employee, for providing them a service...and she kept it!" IMO that just undermines the real criminal crap she does, making it seem like people are out to get her for anything. |
