Obviously, you go find them in this small town.

you would have to really want to meet someone or really think there was something there to meet someone who lived far away.

i'm a bit weary of meeting people from the internet in real life...simply because it's almost like meeting a stranger

Having issues with that myself...Just trying not to blush and run at the first cute guy that gives me a smile!

Just be safe. Meet in a busy place. And go a little outside your distance zone. Take a ride to meet someone in the next town. you never know.

In a small town it is hard. Perhaps for a weekend plan away and spend a day in a big city - be a tourist basically.
A break from a routine, and it could be fun. Go to museums, restaurants, scenic spots, etc. Then come with a new and refreshed attitude come back to your small town. Internet is great for chatting with people, but it is hard to find somebody from your region... As LexFontayne says, the first rule of JSH is: "No one will reply to your email unless you live a bazillion miles away!" Or something like that. The best way to meet people in a big city if you are brand new and don't know anybody is to go get an active hobby with people. Ballroom dancing. Shooting competition. Foreign language lessons. And many others. Good luck! |

I have a hard time meeting people in a large town.

beckys, just remember that beauty fades, a warm heart is irreplaceable. I would think that many men would rather have a kind woman to happily spend their days with than a pretty doll to sit and stare at.

I did well in a small town of well....'bout 15,000....and now down here....it's bigger and I'm not doing so well either....guess 'cause I don't take too much crap and if someone doesn't want to be with me...why argue...just walk away.
Can't make someone love ya. |

15,000 is a small town? When I think of small towns I think of the one I lived in when I was a child all 152 people.

Ouch...well, yeah...guess that isn't so small...everyone was pretty spread out....lots of farm land. What could I say. Now imagine, in a huge place....I'm lost in the land of the dating scene.....what do you do?
I'm one who could not answer that question. |

maybe meeting someone in person means getting out and making yourself available for people to notice.

Even when I did go out no one ever noticed me, must have to be hot or something.
|
|
|
|
if that is your picture you have on your profiles than you are hot enough, but it takes some time just like online
