Through the gentle toned vibrations
Of six strings beneath my hands And the way from them I try to pull Every bit of me I am From the symphony playing in my head And it's ninety-six pieces strong I try to get the right words sewn Into a single song Though the lyrics might come easily The melody might not It's like wandering through a story That doesn’t have a plot And so very many tales we have to tell All laid out as we weave upon our loom From those many places life has let us dwell From that hospital into those motel rooms Some times were for exploring Some times we found ourselves Sometimes we got distracted Now and then by things on shelves But in every situation From the freight cars to the ships Being consumed by infatuation With pirates swords and shapely hips I lived each day for the memory Sometimes a loss sometimes a gain But it isnt all about the past Or the places I have been But through the gentle toned vibrations Of six strings beneath my hands ©MM |

Isn't it "Awesome" to be able to lay your heart out on paper and even more "Awesome" to be able to find the melody to accompany it.
