Its been a while son, since you have passed.
I'm not sure if that time went by, slow or fast.

Each day living without you is just a blur.
I still often wonder, why did all this occur?

You were so amazing, gentle and so kind.
The courage you showed, still blows my mind.

Few knew the real pain and suffering you would endure.
For eighteen months you fought, just hoping for a cure.

You never wanted attention or pity, that’s just not how you rolled
You'd rather make others laugh and give them your heart of gold.

The memories of what you meant to us, as a son, brother or friend.
Will live everyday inside each of us, right up to the very end.

If there’s only one thing son, that makes me glad.
Is that I can forever say, I am Forrest's Dad!
