In The Dark Of Night

Lost and alone in the dark of night
My self respect taken, by glow of the that street light
The nastiness and the hatred is what I saw in his eyes
In my mind all I could think was why, oh why
My cries for help were not heard
For you see his hand covered my mouth, so I could not say a word
My arms pinned by the strength of his knees
Why, oh why can’t anybody hear my pleas?
Alone and helpless is what I felt
This guy is going to have his way, there is no doubt
Tears rolling down my eyes
“Shut up b*tch” , was his reply
My world ended that night last week
The night in the ally, were I could not speak
That long cold night, when that guy took something from me
My life, my self respect, and even my dignity
Now I am left with unanswered questions
And a memory that can’t be forgotten
Pain and hurt is all I have felt
And it will happen again I have no doubt
So when I say it is just not safe
Look at the world around you, it is a messed up place
So hug your loved ones tight
Do not let them wonder around alone late at night
Cause I would hate to see a friend go through this kind of fight

OMG, you have brought back a painful memory for me, I haven't yet healed from, but I did want to step up and say although the sorrow will never go away, I will sit by you and pray....this broke my heart, it unleashed the hatered I had for the person that did it to me, I hated that he took from me that I did not wish for him to have, it is truly a painful loss....if you want I'll hold your hand, as we bring more woman together in our fight well send guys like this straight to hell!!!!

That sorry no good S**...whisper sweetie I am so sorry to hear this. That was no man that did that to you...that was a beast and the beast must face his consequences. I too will pray for you to gain your strength and inner-self back where it belongs.

We have not met, and that saddens me, for I feel so helpless in any effort I might make to comfort you. I can only say that I admire the courage you show by facing your reality here among friends, knowing they care, and that support will always bring healing to some extent. Thank you for your love and support. It means a lot to me. It really does. I am in tears here just reading the replies. I did not write this to have anybody feel sorry for me. I wrote this to help encourage others to be safe out there. It is a dangerous world that we live in. You never know what tomorrow may bring. Just hug your love one close, and try to make sure that they are always safe. Because they are one thing that can never be replace.
