put the fact that shes a woman aside and talk to her as an employee. you hired her to do a job and thats what she needs to do. you can always try the docking pay method. when she comes in high dock those hours. but give her a chance to redeem herself let her know her affect on eveybody else. the trouble it causes. and if that don't work give her the boot. good luck on that!

I'm wondering why someone would keep someone just because they were short of help and shes absolutley worthless when shes there ...... sounds like shes on a gravytrain at yours and other employees expense since ya'll have to take up her slack ..... you're working ... shes gettin paid to smoke, eat and play on the internet....... send me an application !

what i would do, is document it right in front of her. keep a log she is watching you keep. she gets a copy, you keep one. take a picture of her smoking and yacking. well, you have to go to a spy shop for that. find a replacement pdq.

im working on it,, but i dont have the final say in the people that get hired, or else we would have a full staff. and ones that would actually get the job done and not lay out, come in strung out, high as kite, what have you

maybe you should discuss it with management
it cost a lot of $ to orient new hires-- they should allow you to be part of the interviewing process. |

i work with a very small dispatch company,, it only takes 9 people for a full staff,, and we have 4 including the owner. so alot of this stuff i dont know how it would work. if it was up to me id fire her ass on the spot and just take the overtime

I'm in the same boat thumper. We got a couple o guys run the shop that are practical jokers. They like to see how far they can push things. They took my phone number and put it on craigs list with an ad reading 1000 free porn magazines. My phone was off the hook for 28 hours. Yeh I don't think they liked being dragged out of their front doors at 2:00 am and being pistol whipped by my biker freinds. The one guy soiled his pants so bad I didn't realize a body could hold so much waste. I traced everything and filed a police report. My boss said their nuts and their jobs were in my hands. I explained to tweedle dee and tweedle dumb that we are short handed and that they were needed but that the next time they messed with me they wouldn't have to worry about nothing anymore. They would just simply vanish off the planet. My freinds were sitting in the van going "aw cmon! Let's go for a drive!" "no." "aw man they got it comin!" "no that's not nice."
