I am a very new member here and could tell somehow the giving of your own info.wsd prohibited. But I see it done many times. Some try to hide with cute prose or spelling out numbers. So once a match is made, can you share this data or as an article on Scamming indicates - thus is a very bad practice. True/false? Then please enlighten me on would follows the match confirmation from you. Can the other person read my profilr/bio? What locks this or allows members to read. Does it only happen when I click the "make a match".Just noticed email within the app. Do we each have an email address to give to another inside Mingle2? Or is it automatic? Place where things like the red fot are explained?. The very last, if I in fact gave out to a few members, my phone #s &or email ; can I delete...? Even though. Like that person. Please forgive spelling & Grammer errors the phone is going allowing me to see the screen - typing blind. And forgive multiple questions within one. Thank you for answers. Allen D.

Not prohibited...but a very silly thing to do....until you get to know the lady....
Most of the female profiles that give numbers are fishing for work....call girls, cam girls etc....
I feel the match scenario is waste of time....your matched cause someone clicked a button.....yeah right...laugh
You just mail each other by sending messages...really simple and quite fast despite what some of your emailers will claim...
They just want to take you off the site...
Once your mail is out there it cant be deleted...so don't put your numbers in it....right...
You have only been here a few days...it takes weeks to get to know someone properly and can you trust them???...trust your instincts...

I actually gave out my e-mail to someone.!! I don't know why I did that. How would I be able to tell if they are scamming me or not ??? I guess I will have to use my best instinct ?? If they are scammers, what can they do with my e-mail? Feeling nervous !!

I really don't see the need to be emailing people...

We have been together, in an ldr now for nearly 18 months...
We have never emailed each other...never...
Texts...rarely
Phone calls...lots....every second day...
Viber....constantly...sometimes all day...

Why email when there are other, more instant methods of communication...

The reason the scammers are so hot to get your private email is they can track back your IP address and compile as much identity information as possible which is substantial when they know everything from your public records and everything people tend to tell here. It is against the law but that means nothing to scammers.

The advantage of emailing here on Mingle until you have reasonable belief the person in a real person and not a scammer Mingle better security programs than the average person can afford. Not perfect but better.

Your best defense is just taking time. Scammers work on volume and return for investment. If you waste enough of their time they tend to move on unless they have a reason to expect a pay day.

And don't blab everything that would draw a target on your back like bragging about financial resources. Or what someone might come in and steal form your home while you are not home. Easy enough to determine by your online patterns.

Or when you work. Not at all hard to figure out where you work once they know your public information. Scammers are just even lower life skip tracers and credit enforcers.
