♥ Motives, Mockery, and Mystery ♥

Waiting still for the other shoe to drop
maybe transparent balloons to pop
feelings escalated way over the top
hoping the nightmare will soon stop

Merely a long distance race
reaching for the embrace
leaving not even a trace
smiling eyes and beautiful face

This I expected not to feel
barriers around my heart steel
can anything be truthfully real
away from my mind and soul steal

Praising Him for someone to share
any time with me, his honest care
healing broken feelings with voice
Love always offered by choice

In Him, I still will Rejoice
