Not this animated body I use
to propel me through
this mundane existence;
a body susceptible to disease
and addictions
through neglect, abuse...ignorance.

Not this whirlwind of carnal cravings
that I express in a moment of
self-centered, unfocused weakness;
desiring with only fleeting,
temporary fulfillment.
see.........me.

Not as the "fantasy of me" that
you conjure up in your mind
through your biased judgments,
opinions and selfish feelings.
see.........me.

Touch me, with the eyes of eternity.
see.........me
...the real me.

Notice the vibrant life force
that emanates from within this
physical vehicle;
spontaneous, synchronistic...alive.
see.........me.

Notice the compassion that flows
through generous fingertips,
warm smiles, knowing eyes;
desireless...caring.
see.........me.

Notice the unconditional,
limitlessness that radiates out...
silently touching without expectations.
see.........me.

See the divinity...I am
...and that...you are.

Thank you and very true. I always wonder when people try to tell me how I think or how I am. Most never figure me out as a person-everything seems based on externals.

Absolutely true pkd. Most people view others on what they see externally. Sometimes they'll pick up on the other persons' feelings or what they are saying but, MOST of the time what people see in others is a filtered view of their own mindsets. Through their own likes and dislikes. People never truly see other people for who they really are because they're too busy looking at themselves. Sad to say, but true.

You tapped into the poem pretty well. Maybe you are someone who can see others for who they truly are without judgment.
