a search of my area produced 2 profiles that had recent activity,the rest had been over a month and had little to no info.I was wondering if this a mainly American site?I live in Canada so maybe not the right place for me.

I don’t think this is mainly an American site, since most people it shows me I’m “my matches” are in Canada, or some other country.
