Viewers have been left confused by a video from China showing a car crash where two minibuses are left standing on just two wheels in what appears to be a synchronized special effects stunt - except it's for real.

Although it’s still unclear what exactly happens to the vehicles in the video, internet users have agreed on the theory that a wire on the road was to blame.

Chinese car crashes are a popular online genre, with quite a few chilling compilations out there. This video isn't the first time inexplicable content has come from the country - earlier this year the internet went wild over a video of a woman jumping out of the window of a moving bus.

What gets to me in that scene, is that apparently, China thinks it makes sense to have steel cables laid across their roadways.

But what good traction those front Chinese tires have!!!

thats what they're saying, but the cars are moving at different positions... the cable theory doesn't seem right, by the way they're moving and their different positions...

plus, the trash truck is in the way as well...

It's a matter of visualizing what a cable does. The last car to be lifted up, is the one closest to the truck, and it lifts at the rear, because it's front wheels are already passed the cable before the cable starts yanking things around.

Could be jacked up on a pile of invisible little red books.

it would have to be more than one cable... look at the pic, the car is about 20 feet away from the white stop line, and both vans are being picked up at the same time... not to mention the garbage truck is not affected...

i just don't buy the cable theory...

I just witnessed the video for myself and to be honest, It looks rather strange. Never seen something like that before.
