This guy was beaten savagely months ago by a mob, including members of the same family ( Mom was there). 6 of them, from teenagers to adults. One hitting him with a hammer, other throwing punches at him. Still others watching, none stopping it. He was defenseless and he did nothing to deserve this.

The article didn't say why he was homeless, although I wanted to know as well. It seems one of the kids in this group claimed that the homeless guy hit him, that brought on the attack.. from Mom as well. A family affair. Later the kid admitted to making up the story as not to get in trouble for something he did. But they just attacked this defenseless guy.. without mercy.. mob mentality. |

When I was younger if we spoke or gave a dirty look to an older person we would get a crack. I don't believe it's not any different in other cultures. |

And they declined to take the plea deal.. Good, I am glad they did.. animals.. total animals. They do not deserve to see the light of day again. But the juveniles will.. and we will be reading their names in the newspaper again some day soon. |

It's terrible, but I'm not seeing "swept under the rug." Perps being prosecuted.
Despite the emotional temptation to follow suit, I disagree with the idea that a crime should be dealt with based on how upset we are about other similar crimes. Nor should they be dealt with based on which political movements or social movements we might take issue with. |
