I would like some quick info on designing and what program I would need can anyone help?

corel 9.0...it has a comfortable interface...and makes complex actions a snap...

the best web design software is netobject.....
with the feel of coreldraw for page layout.....

oh you want to scan text so you can edit it? I think it scans onto microsoft word.

You might want to look at Nova Development's "Greeting Card Factory (silver)..

I use it to design menus for the local restaurants..It has lots of good graphics, and you can import graphics from other programs with it..

if you want to scan a document it will usually scan as a picture and the only way to change a picture is within an imaging program such as adobe photoshop, fireworks,illustrator, freehand, corel draw, even some gimp applications. The best thing to do is recreate the document in word. You could also import the picture into illustrator, word or freehand and copy it piece by piece with text, dividing lines, tables whatever. However if you are limited to what you have I would recreate it by hand in word. my tow cents.
