The asst prof Click only resigned from a 'courtesy appointment', not from her real job. The courtesy appointment to another 'school' of study is given to a staff member who provides valuable assistance, but not so much as to warrant being given another assistant professor or professor appointment. Just an overblown thank you.

Another professor however did resign today after it was discovered he had sent his students a social media posting encouraging them to come to class for a test and not be intimidated by the events on campus. He originally said he would give the test to anyone who showed up.

Instead of taking back their school from the PC bullies, a number of students complained the prof was not providing a 'safe space' for them and this was unacceptable behavior from the prof.

A short time later he posted that there would be no test, it would be given another time with no penalties for missing it today, and oh yeah, by the way he was resigning.

Apparently he was well liked by many of the students. I don't know why the prof just rolled over, but maybe it was to prove a point. Once the PC crowd condemns you, your career is over at that campus.

Personally, if I ever had a kid from that school for a job interview, I'd have the rejection e-mail sent before they even left the building. These kids have become so full of themselves in 'social justice warrior' mode they would destroy any corporate cohesiveness your company has managed to construct up to this point in its history.

Let's just say, not team players.

We, in the SEC, petition to trade MIZZOU for Oklahoma....or, even Texas. All MU has brought to the table is this fiasco and Michael Sam.

Yeah, that pretty well trashes any _hint_ of credibility they may have as a "police force". Any *real* police force quite frankly isn't going to have the time to listen to how "poor widdle snowflake's feewings got hurt!"

Although it occurs to me that it strikes a *really* bad precedent for the 'politically correct' crew on any campus to have co-opted the college "police force", even if they are essentially glorified security guards...

The black kid who was hunger striking on the MU campus was all about people checking their 'white privilege'. Apparently his dad, a railroad executive makes EIGHT MILLION DOLLARS a year, and the family has a net worth of TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS.

Um, brah? Check your rich kid privilege at the door, and ask your dad if he wants to adopt a white guy to give the family some diversity?

so many tangents here, good things and bad

1st. Just like sexual harassment, I believe there is such a thing as racial harassment. Reporting incidents is the best way to prove either because they do require a pattern of UNWANTED advances

2nd. I also believe the students there are the best ones to know how seriously their harassment complaints have been taken when related to racial harassment. Per Cosby precedent, if many people are saying the same thing, it should be given benefit of the doubt as true yes?

3rd. It is possible that people 'latch on' and embellish their experiences to be part of a movement,,, HOWEVER

,,,,,refer to the 2nd point..lol



4th. while I understand having a seperate space,, for a specific cause, like say having a depression meeting thats only open to those suffering depression and not those looking to support such persons

it is equally important to SIMULTANEOUSLY have those spaces where people are Working together, those suffering and those wishing to support or understand


5th I also commend those who are not a member of a group being mistreated who still stand up for them. Like whites who were anti slvary or men supporting womens rights,,,,,so its not relevant (to me) what group a person belongs to when they pick a cause as long as they are genuine in their stand about that cause,,,

Timings gotta suck for the MU protesters...their fake problems got trumped by real world Paris problems and the media has left them. Sorry MU, maybe you can make up some more believable $hit next time....
