“Back Then”


As I think back to the days I was a kid.
And some of the things I did.
It brings to my face a slight grin.
Sitting and playing on a sit n spin.
Spinning around till I was dizzy.
Never sitting around long always busy.
Oh and can’t forget the Hula Hoop.
Hips swaying you know the scoop.
Then there of course the Pogo Stick.
Keeping it going up & down was a trick.
What fun we had riding a Mini Bike.
Now if you have not seen what they look like.
It was hilarious to see others ride.
About three feet tall, laughed till we cried.
Then of course there was the slip n slide.
We put two together on the hill to glide.
Down it we would go what fun.
We thought we could not be outdone.
Oh and we must not forget Twister.
Spinning for colors till our finger had a blister.
With the lawn mower cut the diamond for baseball.
Worn out pillows were our bases so we could play ball.
Back then parents had to force us to come in.
Not anymore cause they are on the computer in the den.

the kind of memrories i wish i had to recall,,,

Back then I don't remember because I had to grow up really fast.
I am so glad I get to watch my daughter have fun. I will just make new memories with her. Great post as always TxsGal

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa to memories,,, Hell girl I still play on the slip n slide with my grown kids, and my grandson,,, Ohhhhh i feel warm and fuzzy inside....
