to those who say nothing to their profile, cmon, tell something..so to get some idea bout you and bout someone you are searching for~

That's what email is for. I have found that when I tell too much about myself in my profile, nobody writes to me. Better to let them sit there and wonder to themselves what I am about

nah..not that good:P..atleast say something rather than leave it blank:P

I like the ones where the profile is completely empty except for "I'll fill this out later" or "If you want to know anyhting about me, you'll have to ask."
Sorry, if you can't take the time to write 3 sentences about yourself, just to give us some little clue about who you are, then where's my incentive to ask you anything? Since I have no material to formulate any questions off of, I could only ask a question like "Why don't you put something in your profile? That's what it's there for...." But then again, my profile is 1378 pages long, so I may be a little biased. |

I was going to say something but Lex is such a hard act to follow

Sorry, Chris, this is just one of those subjects I can never stay quiet about. It's one of my 943 pet peeves about online dating!

When a guy doesn't take the time to fill out his profile, I think he's not serious about meeting anyone, and I skip to the next profile. I want to meet people with at least similar interests.

@Lex no problem man I couldn't have said it better any way

You said too much on your profile bro! LMAO
Oh, your songs! |

The biggest turn-off for me as far as profiles go is when someone answers all the questions on the profiles with "no answer".
EXCUSE ME? The purpose of a profile is to let others get to know you. How can they when you give NO ANSWER to everything? To me, "NO ANSWER" is a big ole red flag that tells me somebody's trying to hide something. In other words, AVOID AT ALL COSTS! |

Chris, I must have posted 1400 times on this subject while you were away, so it's practically a reflex now!
It really hit home when I started looking at the Mutual Match selections, because there, all you get is the pic and the profile to work with. I made a whole list of problems I saw (empty profiles, pics with 2 or more people and you don't know which one is actually on the site, cliched language, etc.), all of which is applicable to the profiles separate and apart from the MM, but I never paid much attention before, because I generally only look at profiles of people who have looked at mine. Terv, I totally agree with your assessment -- in fact, I saw a profile on another site a couple weeks ago, where a girl actually said, "I'm not going to fill this out right now, I'm not sure how much time and energy I want to put into this." I mean, sure, why even bother? |

I think all those who have empty profiles and such should pay Lex to write them up a profile

I hear ya Lex but I agree with Knox too. I don't want to read every thing about them though either but at least put something in there to spark an interest...something....anything
