Guess I don't have the "killer instinct" and drove by a
deer that had just been hit right before I got there
this morning. It was still alive, likely a broken leg,
was a doe, and was sitting up and looking around, probably
in shock. The police were there and the cars were going
around her. It made me sick to my stomach because I knew
they were likely going to shoot it. Pretty stupid, I know,
because if someone gives me venison to eat, I will cook it
up and eat it and like it, just don't like to see them hurt
I guess. And, I grew up on a farm where we butchered animals
all the time. So not sure why I feel so bad for this deer
this morning.
