“Do we know?”

At times we can find it.
And it seems to be legit.
Then other times it will hit.
Next thing you know it split.

So what are we to do?
Does anyone have a clue?
Do you at least have a different view?
Are there other things we can resort to?

Seems I have asked all the questions.
Are there certain conditions?
Anyone have new suggestions?
Were we should set our expectations.

Or do we just go along.
What if it just felt wrong?
Should we just keep singing our song?
And in time hope we belong.

Would it be that bad?
That this thing we had.
It was nothing but a passing fad.
In the end it would just make you sad.

To know what you had was not true.
That it would leave you down and blue.
Then what would you do?
Have to start again brand new.

Is this what we do just to have love come our way?
And hope this time it will not betray.
And end up leaving us in dismay.
All it is we ask for is for Love to stay.
And be with us each and every day.
