Topic: Fake Tan, and getting away with it.. | |

Where do people stand on fake tan use by guys?
It's the healthy way to get the glow, but I do sense a bit of stigma against it... |

Well being in Miami a lot of guys here are obviously tan. No one really needs to know it's not a real tan. Unless you look orange, I don't see anything wrong with it. Then again, we tend to be a bit more open-minded about metro-sexual stuff like that here. I'd say in other parts of the country you'd probably get a little flack for it.

I think the stigma could be down to the Tango colour that comes from a cheap product...St. Tropez put on by a specialist beautician gives a good natural colour, although it can look a bit too dark on some people.
I still think its the best way of getting a colour without destroying your dermis for life. And a man with a tan is simply fantastic... |

I like to tan also.
My former b/f tanned all the time, trying to hide the RED glow alcoholics have all the time, only tanning enhanced the red face for him. |

I dont tan...its bad for mah ink.
As long as you admit you fake bake, and dont claim to be out at the beach all day, then i dont see anything wrong. Everyones different. I just dont like the people that get butt hurt when you call them out on it. |

I used to tan in a bed. I tan easily enough, the out doors stuff gets me plenty tan.

I don't care for it much. Some people take it to far. Orange does not look natural on anyone.

i don't tan. it is carcinogenic. i get some natural sunlight
which is important for vitamin D. i love beautiful soft skin and i find a light complexion extremely attractive especially since i am always a little tan from being outside the contrast between skin tones when together is to me appealing. i use sunscreen with high numbers. i have lived in areas where people sport dark tans near the beach and have seen the ugly ravages of skin cancer. very hard to watch this develop. so the can tan is preferable if you want color. a little tanning i think is fine as long as it is comparable to the dose one gets outside naturally. |
