I would bring the deal breaker out first like that opening scene in "Quincy" when he starts to cut into the cadaver. When you find someone still standing then you can enjoy a good conversation.

if you're unable to share secrets, it shows lack of trust with each other and could hurt your relationship. if it's something that you think could hurt the way the other persons feels or hinder your relationship, it should be put out up front. if it wont, then id say ok to wait to tel the person, but you should say something as soon as you feel comfortable to. otherwise it may be told by the wrong person

if its something serious like 70,000$ in taxes (my uncle by mairrage failed to mention to my aunt) then yeah, you should probably say something, but if its not to serious then i think its ok to keep it to yourself
