Topic: Immigrant? | |

Most of the times, our insatiable search for 'ture love' drives us outside our environment, maybe, because one has realized that one's destiny is not within. However, parents do not always grant such wishes, not that, they don't love us,but because they are scared of uncertainties thay may hamper our happiness.
Now,comes the question,if you have your way, would have intimate encounter, date or tie the knot with an immigrant? |

i do not see the fact that you move countries as an obstacle.
the needs are the same: -work/job/mission -home/house/apartment --> derived from the above: the ability to manage resources/be economic -language and cultural integration (but language most) -character qualities, religious, political views. -->derived from the above: feeling good here, finding peace of mind if she moved here, if the above are a given, there are no "obstacles" to a relationship, no matter where she came from. Unless i am being naive. |

IF I am going to immigrate somewhere it is going to be for more than an I.E. date etc.. I actually not sure what countries have to do with it. Since moving is moving.. Relocating.. Jobs.. Household. cultural differences.. Moving out of country just includes Visas etc. If I was in love I would still move whether to a new town or across the world. To me it equates the same commitment. One just take a bit more planning is all |

You are correct and incorrect at the same time. You can move from the North for example a Mainelander moving to Texas is going to go through a cultural shock. I am an Alaskan through and through I speak English and yet when I go south to LA I go through a cultural shock each time. I see so many come to my state and in the outer areas new comers go through a heck of culture shock. Some embrace it and thrive, others survive and not embrace it, and others get out as soon as they can. I have been in each one of the 50 states except one. And I see the different cultures. I have traveled to many different countries and I can speak a few different languages fluently and some just a smattering and there is still cultural difference.. IMHO Only the US really cares about all the different cultures fitting in. The rest of the countries that I have traveled to is accepting of others and yet they don't bend over backwards to make them anymore welcome than they do their citizens. It is up to said person to adapt. |

I assume since your profile says you are in The USA, that you mean an immigrant to America? Then my answer is yes, no problem, IF they are LEGAL... not by amnesty, but an America citizen, by passing the test. Otherwise, no way. Most American woman feel this way... ( except with our kissing cousins... Canada ) |

I'm an immigrant. I have lived in the U.S. most of my life and I am proud to be an American!!! Who wants to marry me? I have a relative that would just adore you... he is divorced. But, he has 4 kids & I am hounding him to get a vasectomy. Message me, if you have a need to breed, before my mission is complete. |

There are many serious factors to consider in this case, such as cultural, religious, and language issues. It is not a relationship one should step into lightly.
It will take time to learn a new language. You'll find his native tongue spoken predominantly when attending family gatherings. He can't interpret for you 24/7 and you may feel isolated and bored at these events. You may not want to convert religions or vice versa which causes conflicts within the family structure and the church may not approve. His culture may engage in social heavy drinking and this may not be suitable for some in the long run. Methods of cooking and eating may be different and you may be expected to accept it as not to be insulting. You may be very open minded and willing to learn yet require some compromises. Yet, if the other party does not bend it will not work. JMO |

If I did I'd probably be hanging out at the local ICE offices. ...We've got 2 or 3 around here. ...Lots of turnover. ...Immigrant chicks all over the place. |
