I'd like to know why there isn't anyone from my area? When doing a search, nobody shows up from the Muncie area. Why?

Maybe you aren't searching correctly? Like mistyping something?
From the search screen I type in m4w & w4m 19-99 within 25 miles of 47302 zip code and the people shown have "Muncie, Indiana" next to their name ...Also Muncie California, and Fresno California, and other parts of Indiana.


Or are you asking "why aren't there a lot of people I would want to date in my area?"
Or "why are there never people in my area online?"
Or "what's with the dearth of people in my area on this site?"

And those seem like really easy questions to answer, but not without potentially violating TOS.

I know what you are saying... There are several from a hundred miles or less in the search but never on the site. Seems if I talk to anyone they are 300 or more miles away. Yes, they would like to meet me but come on. It just don't happen. I am beginning to think most people just want to talk on here and nothing more.

Maybe if the people on here realize that youre chances of finding "the one" within a certain mileage radius are about as good as winning the lottery and realize if you truly are seeking a person for life you need to 1.be patient 2. Quit thinking the person lives down the block 3. Remember 1 and 2!!!

I've never really understood how I'm more likely to find somebody compatible by looking abroad to other cultures, rather than my own and the women that I have that much in common with at least.

I don't care what anyone says. It has to be out of desperation if you're drawing a blank with local people.

One thing is, you must think optimistically,it's not always true

Because of the fact they live close by you, and you have to ask yourself what is your limit,if you find someone that you have a great relationship with,but doesn't live down the street,and I'm not talking about a cross the country,but what maybe something to think about,I think that if you start to consider what the distance is first before you get to know the person,then it's all for nothing in the first place,something else to consider is everyone one here is not really truly single,and what I mean by that is. They have so many other things to consider,other things that prevent them from even preparing to even date,health,kids,hobbies,school,zoomba,dogs,cats,horses,
Grandkids,working broken hours six days a week,no car,no job,
I'm new here,and really don't know how to describe myself,and by the time your done, you will go through a 100 profiles in no time.
So it's a good idea to know what you don't,more so,than what you think your looking for. That's a start.
