I wake to your aroma,
and linger
in my pillow and sheet cocoon
to postpone the inevitable delight of your taste.
Thoughts of you drift lazily through my mind,
evoking fine and full emotions.
Always you are there,
amidst kinship and shared laughter.
Being with you and friends.
Being with you and feeling alone,
You provide comfort and warmth
when my humanity is overwhelmed,
fragile with frustration and futility.
Throwing off my coziness,
today will be faced,
I will ride the highs,
endure the lows
and it all begins with you,
my favorite beverage.
Coffee,
milky sweet and strong.

I've enjoyed this light banter back and forth. Makes me feel good. And as for 'Bev' now this is a nice piece, Ladywind7. I personally see ye drawing t'gether your lines with certain aplomb and grace. This was like turning a fresh new leaf only to find a grand, refreshing new poem on the next page. Or, to be even more succinct, this was like sipping a new hot cup of coffee in the early morning hours. Freshly brewed. Flavorful. Alerting.
