squash if you are an American and if you pick them when they are small they are great sauteed but they can grow huge and at that point are good shredded and put in bread or muffins 
one of those things I learned how to bake from Grandma when I was a girl. She would often have two or three different kind of quick breads such as zuchini, banana, pumpkin.
