I have had 3 help vacs... Yet again, the military always overdoes it... Everytime they arent sure if you are up to date with something, they give it to you anyways lol
I should be immune to everything at this point! lol |

Never take the flu shot. I'll suffer the consequences.

Some places like where my mom works, either you take the shots or you don't work. I keep telling her to take the holiday and tell them to F**K off with their shots. I understand that a lot has to do with not passing anything on to patients but if it makes you deathly ill what's the point?

I rarely get ill unless we are in lockdown with C diff or Norwalk........that stuff can get you from just breathing it in.....and since my immune system is prolly down with lack of sleep because of crazy hours then maybe I get the vaccine....

I havn't had a sick day in over 5 years, and this wonderful luck all began when I started taking mass doses of vitamin c and L-Lysine to unblock an artery, avoiding the need for a stent. Today, I still take 4000mg of vitamin c and 4000mg of lysine, and 1200mg of calcium every day. I take half in the am and half in the pm. I also take 50 mg of zinc, 250mg of magnesium, a multipal vitamin, and an asperin every morning. I had carpul tunnel pretty bad before also, and that has 90% gone away over the last 5 years as well. I can't remember when I saw a doctor last for a medical complaint. Like you, I use to get an awful cold or flu every year, and I really can't think of anything more uncomfortable as I look back remembering those times.
I was taking about 6 differnet prescription drugs before all this started, and about 4 years ago, I threw them all away. I physically feel like I did when I was about 25 today, and I atribute that to this regiman also. I found out about this stuff after I was diagnosed with the blocked artery, and got on the internet, and found a natural remedy website run by a Mr Jonathan Cambell, and it spoke of the research of 2 famous doctors, Dr Rath, and Dr Pauling. My symptoms all went away in the first 60 or so days, but I will keep taking the doses I am today for the rest of my life. The fact that it has kept me from getting the comon illnesses such as colds and flu's, and is fixin my carpul tunnel is just an add bonus that I never expected. From what I have read, the average adult needs 2000 to 3000mg of vitamin c daily to sustain good health. The FDA says 45mg or 60mg (can't remember), but Rath and Pauling say thats barely enough to keep you from getting scurvy. Several of my friends are doing as I now, and they too have not had a sick day since they started. I would suggest only taking 1000mg of c every am and pm if your in reasonably good health as the C can give you the hershey squirts in the beginning as your body gets use to the change. I hope you feel better real soon. Dennis |

Howzabout instead of taking the flu shot.......
......take the flu PREVENTION shot? Seriously, I never take that shot, tho my doctor practically begs me to each year. I figure I rarely if ever get sick, much less the flu, I don't really need it. Hope you get to feeling better soon, Joyce |

Rant mode on:
I don't do flu shots. Needles are for junkies. Don't take vitamin pills either. Total BS! Saw the photos of where 80 percent of the vitamins you take goes. That's right, down the sewer lines. My ex worked for city sewer and water, he showed me photos of collection grids that were plugged solid with undigested vitamin supplements. It passes right threw you! To get into your bloodstream you have to grind them up and mix them with water or fruit juice otherwise they pass mostly undissolved out of your body. The only people who benefit from supplemental vitamin pills are the makers, not you. |

I don't believe in flu shots. I never ever got sick and then one year I decided to get the shot and ever since then I've been getting sick at least once a season. WTF? If you're in good health I'd just let nature take its course with any flu or cold. That's just my two cents! |

The CDC does not recommend that everyone get a flu shot. Normally, they look to people who are older, or compromised in some way or who work in a hospital/nursing home setting. There is no reason for healthy adults who don't hang out all day with sick people to get the shot.
And remember, all flu is "Avian" and they don't have anything for H5N1, so relax everyone----until its time to become restless. |
