Yoga is complete and naturalistic science, as it has material for your body,Mind,Senses,Soul. Yoga is the need of the day for fast world to keep balance inside and fit physically and mentally. That is why it exist since thousands of year. Thanks for Indian Priminster for promoting it to the world. Hope after this this science will come to public in much better way.

Love Yoga and now back in Alaska I will resume Hatha & Vanessa Flow at my local native health and wellness center! Tried the Bikram in Florida, but it was to much for me at 65. Still do much weight training but use the Yoga to stretch and keep my balance in line.

Personally, I don't like yoga. Give me a hard hitting bootcamp or training session with ropes, sleds, weighted balls or lifting weights. I'm sure yoga is great for those that like it but not for me. Actually when I was doing my boot camps or strength training stuff I loved the Pilates or Yoga to get stretched out again helped to keep myself limber. |

Yoga has been good for after my back surgery. Not sure what style it is but it seems to combine some of the restorative yoga with stretching and strengthening postures. Have enjoyed it immensely. Right on mc.....I'm right with you on this |

I've done yoga on and off for years and it's not exhausting, like working out with weights and things like that are. I got into it because I was interested in the spiritual side of it though and when I did meditation it seemed to help me get off medication that I was taking for anxiety.
I still find that going to a yoga class when I'm feeling anxious can be good, although it can be hard to get through a class if you're not feeling too good. I'm not currently going to any classes or practicing but I should start practicing on my own at home again at least. It can be a good way to start the day and the point is to quiet your mind and to get rid of bad habits. That's putting it crudely and it's more esoteric than that but before I met my ex a few years ago I had been clean and sober and doing yoga for quite a while and she used to say what a happy, healthy guy I had seemed then. What I'm not too into about some yoga systems though is that they're all, "Smoking and drinking is bad and you shouldn't do that at all and you should be a vegetarian." They're not all like that though. I smoked a joint with my first yoga teacher. |

To tell you the truth I always thought yoga to be mostly BS,
but I do see some very very old people doing it every day, early in the morning in the village next to where I work. It is like they are in a trance. And it appears that they are in better shape then people 40 years younger then them and they always walk around with a smile on there face. So much for thinking it was BS. |

I have seen a lot of yoga peops that are in excellent shape
I am a lifter but I will say this..I do some yoga now and then and its a different mind set instead of pushing yourself to get in one more rep or to lift heavier its about your breathing and letting things go and clearing your mind its about stretching and holding a position to ease all that stress and tension you carry with you every day as that eases..you may experience emotions that you were not dealing with and it will ease up on any aches and pains you have that may be stress related from tight muscles |
