Stryper was a great band while i was growing up , but got out of heavy metal

theres just not many hard rock church bands,only herd a few that rocked out,

The curious thing to me was that christians labelled rock and roll "the devil's music" until it was appropriated by "christian" rock bands.
Poof! Suddenly it is a form of evangelism. Nothing against the music, just the irony of using "satan's bag of tricks" to push their agenda. I remember Stryper and Petra becoming popular with many. I can't remember if I enjoyed their music. BUT - Keep on rockin' in the free world! ![]() |

I loved Petra. When I first heard in in the 90's I was shocked christians did that sort of music. Wow though I rocked hard doing housework, lol Change from Hymns.

I reckon see if the OP has a site for the jesus bus band and check out their stuff!
There are tons of bands...just google christian rock bands and you get the lists and links. I've heard people talk about a band called "disciple" and there is another currently popular one but damned - EEK! - if I can remember their name. |
