Topic: Songs that come at the right time of your life | |
---|---|
I am not a musical person but I do enjoy listening to music.
Through many stages of my life I have tuned into the radio and the perfect song would come. The song would encourage me to carry on with what I needed to do For example Separation was hard, the song from Wilson Phillips Carry on helped me over that stage Meeting up with old friends - Train with Bruises Wow Had to leave the past in the past. I couldn't go back even if when he was declaring his love. We are good friends. Learning to enjoy life again - Oh yes girls just want to have fun Cindy Lauper. These are just a few. There are many that have helped me. What songs have touched you? |

Wow Babe... Tell me how you really feel... I think I should have be warned about the canadian sense of humour... Oh c'mon Sweetheart. You were warned. You just didn't believe it. And by the time you saw...you didn't care anymore. |

this song came to mind as i was reading the topic.
while it didn't particularly touch me personally, i did find it a touching and powerful song that i think fits well here at M2. right time to love |

I was putting a condom on before with my ex girlfriend, just as the song 'Get it on,' by T-Rex, came on the radio. Fell off the bed laughing, so I did!

RED- "The Best Is Yet To Come". The song can be taken as two people coming together.....but for me this song helped to give me insight into what my life could be. And at the time I heard this song (for the first time) I really needed to hear it. |

"Bye Bye" Jo Dee Messina--When divorcing the ex
Boy you sure look good there standin' in the doorway in the sunset light Maybe I read you wrong thinkin' you could be my Mr. Right I was puttin' my heart and soul on the line Said you needed some time, just a little more time to make up your mind Well it's been long enough Time is up Bye bye love, I'll catch you later Got a lead foot down on my accelerator and the rearview mirror torn off I ain't never lookin' back. And that's a fact. I've tried all I can imagine I've begged and pleaded in true lover's fashion I've got pride, I'm takin' it for a ride Bye bye, bye bye my baby, bye bye Don't think all those tears are gonna hold me here like they've done before You'll find what's left of us in a cloud of dust on highway 4 Baby what did you expect me to do Just sit around and wait on you Well I'm through watchin' you just skate around the truth And I know it sounds trite I've seen the light Bye bye love, I'll catch you later Got a lead foot down on my accelerator and the rearview mirror torn off 'Cause I ain't never lookin' back, and that's a fact. I've tried all I can imagine I've begged and pleaded in true lover's fashion I've got pride, I'm takin' it for a ride Bye bye, bye bye my baby, bye bye I'd lost the game I guess I did my best to win the part Now I'm leavin' here with what's left of my heart. Bye bye, I'll catch you later Got a lead foot down on my accelerator and the rearview mirror torn off 'Cause I ain't never lookin' back. You can count on that. I've tried all I can imagine I've begged and pleaded in true lover's fashion I've got pride, I'm takin' it for a ride Bye bye, bye bye my baby, bye bye Bye bye Ooh baby Oh oh Bye bye, bye bye my baby, bye bye |

RED- "Not Alone"- I know it is more of a song about God and all, but I know this song has helped many people through many struggles.
Slowly fading away You're lost and so afraid Where is the hope in a world so cold? Looking for a distant light Someone who could save a life You're living in fear that no one will hear your cries Can you save me now? I am with you I will carry you through it all I won't leave you, I will catch you When you feel like letting go 'Cause you're not, you're not alone Your heart is full of broken dreams Just a fading memory And everything's gone but the pain carries on Lost in the rain again When will it ever end? The arms of relief seem so out of reach But I, I am here I am with you I will carry you through it all I won't leave you, I will catch you When you feel like letting go 'Cause you're not, you're not alone And I'll be your hope when you feel like it's over And I will pick you up when your whole world shatters And when you're finally in my arms Look up and see love has a face I am with you I will carry you through it all I won't leave you, I will catch you When you feel like letting go 'Cause you're not, you're not alone And I will be your hope You're not alone And I will pick you up And I will be your hope And I will be your hope Slowly fading away You're lost and so afraid Where is the hope in a world so cold |

There are many that have helped me. What songs have touched you? I was in a lousy relationship when the Annie Lennox song "Walking on Broken Glass" came out it and was getting alot of airplay. Also when I was breaking up with someone the Patty Smyth song "Sometimes Loves Just not Enough" came on the radio. |
