It probably just being a young beginner. If you walk into a room of mostly people who are considerably older you have to expect some to skip your comments. Especially if in the first ten you complain. Have to pay your dues grasshopper. (Movie reference and not a hostile remark.)
And when you checked in on the site. Time will have something to do with how many responses you get. You come in late or on a holiday weekend you can get little or no response. Example three o'clock in the afternoon is a moment of silence on memorial Day. You haven't ask for your profile to be rated but that is definitely holding you back as is the culturally inappropriate body language in your lead photo. I doubt you are throwing gang signs but I would not do that in photos. language barrier may be another. You may have better English skills than many but limited responses make people wonder if communication will be difficult. Especially since many of the forum regular posters probably don't speak any African languages. Or for that matter know that much about Africa so you have to ride out the myths and make yourself approachable. I would strongly advise making any assumptions it has anything to do with race because every race creed and nationality post and are liked by the majority once we get to know you. Good Luck. |
