OMG! So hard to choose!!!! Which one of you boys wants to give me a ride to the grocery store? You all seem such expert drivers. *giggle* I'll take you...just jump on the back of my hog! And don't worry, he squeals but he doesn't bite. |

Take em' to an isolated spot & do donut spins with rock music playing until they get their self-esteem back. ;)

II like the I love you too much to not like you if you drive badly idea. I hope I am paraphrasing right.
I kind of agree about the back seat driving but when you ride with someone and they clearly streach or breaks the rules of the road I am inclined to be glad if they do drop me off at the next available option. I have actually gotten out at a stop light and walked home a couple times. Once when I was in a medical transport and that was not and easy walk home. One thing I would like to see in my lifetime is the mass transit in Europe I hear so much about. I sure enjoyed the Mass Transit in New York City. Maybe not enough to live there in the winter but was awesome in the summer. Completely blew away the unfriendly New Yorker myths because everyone was so VERY NICE. I hope someone buries me with a BlackandWhite cookie. St. Peter is sure to let me in the Pearly Gates. lol |

New Yorkers can be nice but we can also be nasty. Just like anywhere else.

Wondering how many people have had to handle someone who clearly is not safe to drive and you do not want to be their passenger? I don't think it is and age issue but I have gone out with people who clearly were just too nervous to drive and I am thinking how do you handle that one without trashing someone's self esteem? Some folks are just not meant to drive an automobile. It could be any number of issues. Just sit your friend down and tell her, "hey I love you but I feel you are dangerous out on the road and I'd rather not ride with you". It might hurt their feelings a bit, but that's better than waking up in the hospital or worse. |
