Hello our friend "Working Class Hero" As soon as you're born they make you feel small By giving you no time instead of it all 'Til the pain is so big you feel nothing at all A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be They hurt you at home and they hit you at school They hate you if you're clever and they despise a fool 'Til you're so f~cking crazy you can't follow their rules A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be When they've tortured and scared you for 20 odd years Then they expect you to pick a career When you can't really function, you're so full of fear A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be Keep you doped with religion, and sex, and T.V. And you think you're so clever and classless and free But you're still f~cking peasants as far as I can see A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be There's room at the top they are telling you still But first you must learn how to smile as you kill If you want to be like the folks on the hill A working class hero is something to be A working class hero is something to be If you want to be a hero well just follow me If you want to be a hero well just follow me. By my late fellow Scouce forefather ~John Lennon My Mother and her friends that attended a Catholic school in Liverpool would see the Beatles in the Cavern on there lunch hour in 1962. The Beatles often played as the Saturday night band at dances my parents attended as did the Stones although from London. England has a middle class and working class un like North America. John was actually the least working class out of all the beatles.raised by his Aunt They had a dairy farm and store. Ok here's a quote from his aunt "The guitar is good John but you will never make a living at it" So many good lines in the song above but I'm close to this one below "When they've tortured and scared you for 20 odd years Then they expect you to pick a career When you can't really function, you're so full of fear" Ok one more... "You think you're so clever and classless and free but you're still f~ucking peasants as far as I can see" Good on ya John and proud to be from the same side of the tracks Peace |

"Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.
And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain... ...Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater." But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed." "The Prophet", Kahlil Gibran |
