without communication...there is no love Do you agree?

No.

You can feel something without being able to communicate it.

If you don't know how to communicate something it doesn't mean you can't feel it.

Without communication there is no understanding of how anyone is expressing their love.

As always, it depends on your definition of terms.

I would say for the most part, that by a majority definition of "love" in the context of a dating site, and by the vague definition of "communication" that most people use, that saying love requires communication is more or less correct.

If you allow for "love" to include crushes, and to include deeply philosophical concern, and to include parental instinct, and/or to include pure lust, then exceptions abound.

There are people I care deeply about, who I am only rarely in touch with. I have a son who cannot speak, so we have only communicated by hugs, and howling and grabbing and pointing on his part, with me guessing at what he might mean. There are people who I know of only by reputation, who I would do all manner of things for, even if they never learn of my existence. Common "communication" isn't required for any of that.

And as well, sometimes it's been true that what made love truly wonderful, has been that zero communication was required at all, due to each person genuinely and deeply loving the other so much, that each sought out how to please the other without any obvious communication occurring.

Why can I NOT pull up page 2 of this thread?

Locking people out of threads is discrimination.

Unless it only means talking or chatting then I don't agree. text message, eye contact, hugging...isn't that communicating?

Love requires communication.
However, the spoken word accounts for only
approximately 11% of all communication.

Chatting/yammering 100% of the time is overkill.

Body language, the written word, and gestures/deeds,
account for a higher percentage of communication.
