Why is lemon juice made with artificial flavor, and dishwashing soap made with real lemons?

Because real lemon smells better than it tastes. Just a guess.

Actually OP when you buy lemon juice it is a concentrate and that would make it to acidic so they cut it with crap.. In dishsoap and other cleansers the actual acidity in lemon juice is what helps clean grease off said dishes... A handy dandy cleaning tip is to add fresh lemon juice to what ever cleanser you are using smells great and cuts any film.
