Need means responsible man with good intentions, and it does not negate want. It includes all of that, need negates only wanting a man, but nothing special. I am giving purpose to a special man when I say need. Some men are up to being needed not only wanted, they are quality men. A man I need also needs me, not only wants me.

I didn't join Mingle as a dating site, but as an opportunity to meet people. If something more came of it... Well, that would be great. If not, that's OK too. I will have met a few people, maybe learned a few things and broadened my experiences. Win, win! I've never liked the results I've gotten when i was searching for a relationship. It never worked. I've always found better relationships, romantic or otherwise, by simply being open to meeting new people. No agenda, no plan. This is very true for me also. Well said, and I bet your still not eating dinner alone..lol Thanks Jack! Still solo for dining out. But, I've got hope... Always! |

I did come on here to find a good honest down to earth old fashioned bloke who loves his food and is built like a bear. that didn't happen so yeah (looking at my nails) just looking for friends now

I agree relationships are tough , and I also agree that we all should be up front and honest , when they come on here as there are people that really want monogamous relationships ,
I dont knock anyone choice to either come on here to find love , sex whatever I just think HONESTY is essential from experience not on this site but was on a site , fell in love with this man , after I did he tells me hes married blah blah blah not right the point is If he had been upfront I would have then chose to not see him I am not a home wrecker the point is that we all deserve the choice , I feel it only right to be up front and honest after all hearts are real |

I used to feel like that before I had experience with men. Believe me they quickly lose trust and respect in a romantic relationship. I know it's hard to believe it, but open your mind and look at the world and all the suffering caused by so many men.
Estelle, I am so very sorry that your experience has been such a bad one. But truly there really are so many wonderful men in the world with so much love to give. My wish is that you are able to open your heart to this possibility and experience what this feels like. There is a wonderful quote "Be that change you want to see in the world". Try this and maybe you will get what you really yearn for.

I don't have a lot of experience in relationships so I'll take all the help I can get, even if things don't last long.
I'm also hoping to find someone to help me feel less lonely and down in the dumps. Whether or not it leads to a lasting relationship, I want to find someone. But I'm getting pretty discouraged. |

Typed in the word "lonely" on a search engine a couple years ago and joined. Still not sure why I'm here or anywhere else for that matter.

Like I mentioned before...my hometown doesn't offer much of what I want in a man...I wanted to know if real
"Gentlemen" existed...and...yippy!!!...I found so many here in the forums...and I really like a lot of the ladies...I haven't met anyone local that I am attracted to but maybe someday...for now I will just continue playing in the forums and enjoying the company of so many beautiful people...

I joined like so many of you to find the "one".....but I found so much more....I found great people, some I now call my friends.....
I come here now for laughs(not so much lately) and to catch up with my friends... .....and if the "one" eventually shows up...that will be the icing on the cake.

I joined like so many of you to find the "one".....but I found so much more....I found great people, some I now call my friends.....
I come here now for laughs(not so much lately) and to catch up with my friends... .....and if the "one" eventually shows up...that will be the icing on the cake.
 ,did you check the video store?,they should have a copy of "The one",it's a really nice movie too!!
