DIVERGENT, THE TWILIGHT SERIES, OR THE HUNGER GAMES AKA MOCKINGJAY/BIRD, WHATEVER.

This could be like opening a can of worms, perhaps. I'm expecting that most responses to this will be from women. Why is that? Well, simply it's because ALL three of these movies have as their core heroin a female lead(like hero, as in like comic book lingo, NOT like the drug, heroin, though maybe I'm not spelling this right?). Anyways, they all share the same Female lead role as the primary character in the movie. Thus, I expect more women, than guys, may have seen all of these, especially with the Twilight Series.

While I did enjoy the Twilight series, as I've always been into the whole vampire thing anyways and it so happens that I was raised in Forks, WA where it had it's settings, unfortunately it, in my opinion, suffered the most of these three movies from lots of slow parts. Maybe because of books requiring us to use our imagination to visuals "scenes" as we read, perhaps that's why the books seemed much less slower. Or maybe they just catered to Stephanie Meyers wish to focus on her female main character who, let's face it, isn't a Ripley from Aliens, or that chick from the, oh, what's the name of that movie series, the bad *** chick who is Vampire herself, but fights other vampire or the dead, or werewolves? You know the one I mean. The chick in The Hunger Games was a much better bad ***, but THAT series also had a lot of slow part issues to it.

Then there is Divergent. Now THIS one, despite following the same female lead role formula as the other two franchises, is not only BAD ***, but falls in with a huge group of OTHER BAD *****, Male and Female! Much better, and thus, definitely gains my vote over the other two. Just recently been seeing previews of the 2nd one in this series, and it's looking good. Hope they keep up the intensity of the first one.

I LOVED Iron Man, and a little less the 2nd one, but the third was dismal. Even Robert Downey Jr with his so killer sarcastic joking good and bad *** humor, couldn't save this one. By way, talk about a drugged out, nearly dead, career and his life literally almost gone, COMEBACK King of MOVIES! Way to go ROBERT! Yes, I diverged, lol! Get it? hahhaa.

So there you have it. Divergent---most definitely the clear winner of these three movie franchises, in my opinion. Would love to know yours!

Peace, all, and hope everyone had a great day. Here in Seattle/Tacoma, Washington where I am, it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!

P.s---I can't WAIT for the new Aliens, and the TERMINATOR!!!

Hunger games for me

twilight was just too teenish for my taste, the werewolf always with the shirt off, the vampire who always looked as if he was on the verge of throwing up and the undefinable dull female stuck in the middle

Divergent was a good story, but again with a female lead that was too dull and undefinable

of the female leads, I thought Katniss had the most layers and personality and enjoyed her story most

Yeah, I like your assessment msharmony. Your right, especially about Edward looking like he was constantly about to throw up! lol. Never thought about that until now.

And yeah, great points about Divergent. Again, a mostly dull female role/lead. I think though, that it was because of the story character itself, and not the actress, of course. BUT, I think OVERALL, I'd still have to stick with Divergent, for OVERALL ACTION. Wouldn't you agree? I did indeed like the character in The Hunger Games, Katniss, for all the reasons you mentioned. Of all the films, this female lead was the most rounded and identifiable. But like my point with these three movies, at least Divergent didn't suffer nearly as much slow points in the movie line.

I am very much looking forward to The Mockingjay, Part 2. Just watched part 1 recently, and with the previews of part 2, I can't wait for that to come out, and see how everything turns out. Will Katniss marry "the boy who would be King", or her lifelong friend/lover guy? Hmm...lol.

Twilight. It was so horrible I get a good laugh every time I watch it, but I have to admit there are some scenes I loved (all the trees) and the music. Love the music!

Zip-lining heroine

BUT, I think jenac1966, what HoneyFly was maybe actually referring to with Zip-lining heroine, was the scenes in Divergent where they would jump from the trains. I don't recall them using zip lines, but then again, I haven't seen it in a while. But those scenes do make you feel like they are zip lining out of the train, or when they are just running around like crazy, they are zipping around. lol.

Plus, the word Heroine, is not just a drug name. Anyone who writes, or reads comic books or watches superhero movies, knows that this word also means the female hero in the story, thus heroine. But it's like a old school term, I think. Thanks to the English language, it's of course a word spelled the same way, but with two completely different meanings. Only in America!!! lol.

Just re-watched Divergent on cable last night, lol, and it's still the winner, in my opinion. Can't wait to see the new one.
