A father and his 7 year old son are sat watching a documentary about Apollo and space shuttle flights. After a while,the son looks at his dad and says.'Dad,i wish i could be shot into space'. His father looks at him and says,'If i hadn't been drunk 7 years ago,you would have been'.

If that’s ‘tough’ then what about.., Over the intercom of a carrier, the captain announces that Seaman Joseph has received a telegram from his missus saying “it is a boy”. While the crew hurrahs and thumps the ‘new father’, everyone knows that the ship has been out at sea for 308 days.
